Who you are contracting with

CakeQuote AI is operated by Shivani Shah ("we", "us"), trading as CakeQuote AI. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and are contracting with us. If you are using CakeQuote AI on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business.

What CakeQuote AI does

CakeQuote AI is a web app for cake makers and home bakeries. It helps you create price quotes, manage orders and a calendar, track recipes, record earnings and spending, and draft customer messages with AI assistance. Features available to you depend on your plan (Standard or Pro).

Acceptance of these terms

By continuing to use CakeQuote AI you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the service and delete your account. You must be at least 18 years old to subscribe to a paid plan.

Your account

Keep your login details confidential. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Please give us accurate information (such as your email address) and keep it up to date.

Acceptable use

You must not misuse CakeQuote AI. That includes:

• using it for any unlawful purpose, including fraud or spam;
• infringing our intellectual property or anyone else's;
• interfering with the service's security — for example uploading malware, probing for weaknesses, or scraping the service;
• trying to access data belonging to other users, or reselling access to the service without permission;
• reverse engineering the service or working around its limits (such as plan restrictions).

AI features and your content

CakeQuote AI includes AI-generated features, such as drafted customer replies and profit commentary. You must not use these features to create illegal content, deepfakes, hate speech, malware, or to try to bypass the AI's safety rules. You are responsible for the prompts you enter, how you use the AI outputs, and having the rights to any content you put in.

AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete. Always review suggestions (including any prices, replies or profit explanations) before relying on them — they are not professional financial or legal advice. We may moderate, filter or refuse AI outputs, and we can remove content or suspend accounts that breach these rules. Rights-holders can report suspected infringement through our contact details below; repeat infringement may lead to account termination.

You keep ownership of the content you enter (your quotes, orders, recipes, costs and notes). You give us a limited licence to store and process it solely to provide the service to you. We retain ownership of the CakeQuote AI software, design and branding.

Plans, payment and subscription

Standard and Pro plans are described on our Pricing page. Pro features switch on when your subscription starts. Your first month is free; afterwards the plan renews monthly until you cancel. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms.

Service level

We work hard to keep CakeQuote AI available, but we cannot guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or discontinue features. We do not promise any particular business result (such as a level of profit) from using the service.

Suspension and termination

We can suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms, don't pay what's owed, create a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously violate our policies. You can stop using the service at any time. If your access ends, you can export your data (for example your accounts CSV) for a reasonable period before it is deleted.

Warranties and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, including lost profits or lost data. Our total liability to you is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow that.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute. We may assign our rights (for example in a merger or acquisition); you may not assign your account without our consent. If an event beyond our reasonable control (such as an internet outage) stops us performing, we are excused while it lasts.
